Meridian Environmental’s approach to environmental and regulatory work is to provide senior, highly experienced professionals, able to assist in the planning, design and management of the environmental assessment and permitting phases of a project.  Meridian Environmental’s professionals assist the client, as requested, in:

  •        Pre-project strategy planning

  •        Planning and implementation of effective public involvement programs

  •        Application of a process to quantify watershed health and recommend treatments

  •        Negotiation of appropriate, cost-effective environmental study programs with regulatory agencies

  •        Fisheries and terrestrial studies

  •        Organizing and indexing existing project information and development of data management systems

  •        Coordination of environmental planning and permitting work with the client's staff, design engineers or other contractors

  •     Development of appropriate budgets, work scopes and contracts for specialty subcontractors

  •       Assistance in the selection of reputable, experienced environmental specialty firms for specific phases of the work

  •       Program management of the environmental and permitting phases of the project

  •       Production of permit applications, environmental assessments, environmental impact studies or license applications

  •       Management of the post-submittal processing of all environmental documents and permit applications

Depending on the assignment and our client’s preferences, Meridian Environmental staff are available to design and conduct field studies, or to provide oversight and review of analyses performed by subconsultants.

Other facets of our environmental services include benefit:cost ratio impact analysis, flood control and emergency planning.

The broad array of environmental projects encountered in the Northwest requires a variety of technical resources and specialists.  Meridian Environmental staff are skilled in addressing fisheries, wildlife, forests, wetlands and riparian habitat issues, but if the required resources are not available in-house, we can quickly locate them.  If a client’s scope of work fits a different company, we are not hesitant to refer them.  The client’s satisfaction is always primary.
